How do I get the background of my picture to blend with the background of my powerpoint?
I don’t want to see my pictures white background, I want it to blend with my slide background. Is there any way I can do this? I have the newest powerpoint.
If the picture has a single solid color background it is easy to to in PowerPoint (and works quite well).
In PowerPoint 2007 (the newest), select the picture.
Go to the Picture Tools – Format tab.
On the very left side of the ribbon, go to the pulldown that says Recolor.
Select Set Transparent Color.
Put the point of the little pen on the background and click.
Cheater trick – lets say your background was white and the picture has a dog with white eyes and teeth. By selecting the white, you probably turned the eyes and teeth transparent, too. So use a shape tool or freeform drawing tool and make a white shape that covers the eyes and teeth, group them with the picture, then send them to the back to “fill in” the missing white. (Note: you can group first then send to the back in PowerPoint 2007. In previous versions, you need to send to back first before grouping).
