Does anyone know how to override MySpace’s block of GeoCities hosted backgrounds?
Does anyone know how to override MySpace’s block of GeoCities hosted backgrounds? I can still post Geocities hosted graphics, but MySpace no longer allows GeoCities hosted graphics to be used as backgrounds. MySpace also will not allow me to make hyper links that direct visitors to a GeoCities page. What is going on?
I dealt with this exact problem yesterday. I was trying to place a geocities background in my blog and it simply would not show.
I did however find a solution.
Assuming you are using CSS to apply your background, you can force any property in a CSS style by adding !important between the value and the colon.
example:
This code will force myspace to use what ever image you specify in the URL, as well as make it static on screen and centered.
