Can The "Facebook Virus' affect mac?

I wondered what the virus on Facebook and Myspace have been. and as they come, and how to prevent it is to target my mac. can also do my mac slower in any way. (I just got this Mac so I do not really know how to protect it) answers on what the virus is. PAHLEEEAASE!

It's much harder for Macs for viruses. not because they are better protected, but because fewer people use them to script viruses are generally not written for them. There are about 95% chance that the virus used to the effect of your Mac in any way, I have a mac (no anti-virus software) and it has never had a virus. However, beware free software of any kind, the only large-mac virus going around right now is free to download software mac. There is antivirus software for Mac that you can buy if you are worried, but most of the mac-owners do not care. Remember, it can not hurt. :]
