Jack Russell Terrier lovers!!!!?
How many other people love JRT as much as I do!! Please share any stories with me!! I’ve done lots of research on the breed & I’m still sooo eager to learn & hear more about them!!
I have a 3 month old female JRT named Bailey. She kinda picked us, my husband & I live in a condo & saw her and just had to have her. We did no research on the breed before buying her it was just spur of the moment and everyone told us (after we got her) that she was gonna be full of energy, not meant to live in a condo, destroy things etc and just be a horrible dog for us & our living situation. She has defied all those odds and has been the best dog ever!!! She is full of energy & loves to play but she calms down real easily & is well behaved!! We absolultey love her to death!!!
Heres a pic of her!! If you have any pics share them as well ![]()

I’ve lived with a Jack Russell Terrier for the past 3 years (it’s my roommates). He is about 4 years old (that we know of). As far as we do know, when my roommate had gotten him, he had been in an abusive home. He was horribly frightened by us the first few weeks, but now we can’t get him to leave us alone. lol. He is soo very cute though, very hyper, but does relax when he gets tired, or everyone in the house gets tired.
One thing I find really funny is when we are mopping the floor, the Jack Russell will chase the head of the mop around (back and forth, and back and forth he goes with the mop) and tries to nip, and/or, bark at the head of the mop. So, our solution to this was to put sponges on the bottom of his paws, so that way when we mop, he could help us mop! It was an absolutely hilarious idea, but didn’t work quite as well as it sounded, but it definitely was a couple minutes of amusement for us and the pup. He had constant adrenaline rush after that.
He also loves bubbles. If you blow bubbles, he’ll chase and then nip at every single one until not even one bubble touches the ground. I swear we need to start taping these incidents.
Same goes with snow. You will bring him out to potty, but he gets so distracted by jumping and licking all of the snow flurries, that he never ends up doing his busy. It’s the cutest thing ever.
I also saw on Animal planet how a Jack Russell was trying to win the Guinness Book of World Records for popping the most balloons in a certain amount of time. I don’t know if he actually one it, but watching it was hilarious, because the Jack Russell I live with does the same thing. If there is a balloon around, he definetly comes running and won’t leave until he has came, saw and conquered that balloon!
They really are cool dogs.
Sorry for the long blog.
